Welcome to ‘Real Couples Counselling’

A supportive space for partners to navigate various challenges, fostering resolution and understanding as you work through relationship difficulties. I work with proven theories and techniques to ensure you are safe and we achieve progress together.

Often couples I work with are facing issues such as separation, divorce, grief, fertility issues or conflict. In addition to relationship concerns, couples therapy can be highly beneficial for managing mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, addictions, and eating disorders. The encouragement and support of a loved one can play a crucial role in the recovery process.

Many couples face challenges and you may choose to focus on strengthening your bond with a spouse or significant other, or on addressing broader issues affecting your entire family.

If you're caught in frequently hurtful arguments, feeling unappreciated, or experiencing a disconnect with little common ground, it may be time to consider counselling.

I can help you identify patterns and teach you strategies for managing these issues beyond therapy sessions. Additionally, when you feel unheard, counselling provides a safe and supportive space where both voices are acknowledged and respected.

A place of acceptance

Our sessions are confidential, empathetic, and free from judgment. I listen carefully and view your relationship from your perspective, creating a space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings. I respect the type of relationship you want to build and work with you to help achieve it together. My approach is holistic, grounded in well-researched, proven methods and theories that have been shown to be effective. I have experience working with diverse relationship dynamics and bring an open-minded, supportive approach.

My goal is simple: to help you find your way forward as a couple and rediscover your place together.

Re-evaluating for long-term results

When we're feeling confused, anxious or distressed, it can be difficult to clearly assess what we truly need and want. On top of that, fear of being judged often adds to the uncertainty. In relationships, we may move through life at different paces. Sometimes we lose sight of where we're headed, or the path we once planned together no longer feels right. One of you may find themselves lost in a fog, unsure of what the relationship offers or how to regain that connection. Often these issues are deep rooted

in our past

Taking a step back to reflect and identify your needs is often the first essential step toward building a stronger, more fulfilling relationship.

You have just woken up

Sometimes life becomes a relentless cycle of work, family, and sleep, repeating day after day. You suddenly realise you haven't sat down with your partner for a meaningful conversation or spent time alone together to reconnect. When life is constantly on the go, prioritising what truly matters can feel overwhelming. One morning, you might find yourself thinking, This can't be how it's supposed to be.

If that thought resonates, we can work together to explore a new approach to living and loving, helping you reconnect and find balance once again.

Working with clients

Our emotions and behaviours don't always fit neatly into one specific issue—many concerns tend to overlap. You may be facing challenges like growing apart, infidelity, financial worries, or low self-esteem, but these experiences are rarely just a checklist of problems.

I’m here to support you through any part of the counselling process and hope that together you seek help to make a better life.
